'Liar's' development making progress
Warner Bros. is ramping up progression of Michael Lewis' "Liar's Poker," with Lewis aboard to evolve his book about bond purchasing and selling as well as the pointing team of John Requa and Glenn Ficarra ("Crazy Stupid Love") helming.Project, that's been in development for quite some time at Warners, is positioned with Warner-based Bill Gerber."Liar's Poker," launched in 1989, in Lewis' autobiographical account of his employing by Salomon Brothers and sisters and also the recounting inside the first person in the nuances of bond traders and purchasers staff.The push to go to forward with "Liar's Poker" includes art galleries getting modified a few his books into movies -- "Moneyball: The ability of Winning an Unfair Game" and "The Blind Side: Evolution of a game title title."Vital moved a year ago to pre-emptively acquire Lewis' book "The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine" and hang up that project tabs on Kaira Pitt creating through his Componen-based Plan B shingle.Courtenay Valenti is controlling "Liar's Poker" for Warners.
