Freestyle Digital Media nabs 'Deadheads'

Freestyle Digital Media has acquired the domestic privileges to horror comedy ''Deadheads.'' Deal was introduced Monday in the American Film Market. Pic won awards in the Traverse City Film Festival 2011 and also the Newport Beach Film Festival 2011. The film is slated for any domestic release within the first quarter. ''Deadheads'' starring Michael McKiddy and Ross Kidder, follows two zombie slackers who end up remarkably reborn in the dead among a disastrous zombie outbreak. After finding an gemstone in the coat pocket, one enlists his new found zombie friend to attempt a mission looking for his lost love. The offer was discussed by FDM's Boss Susan Jackson, Producer Andy Drummond and Director Brett Pierce. ''Deadheads has produced great press along with a huge group of followers from the amazing worldwide horror festival run and that we believe the film has got the makings of the cult classic within the comedy horror market.''
