'Gambit' pays off for composer

Composer Rolfe Kent has signed on to score Michael Hoffman's "Gambit." The Crime Scene Pictures film, starring Colin Firth and scripted by Joel and Ethan Coen, is currently in post-production in London, aiming for a release next fall from CBS Films. Kent's past credits include "Sideways," "Up in the Air" and "Mr. Popper's Penguins." He earned a Golden Globe nom for his work on "Sideways." Contact the Variety newsroom at news@variety.com
